1994- 1997 Image Correspondences with Edith Bons, who came from Indonesia. I became interested in diverse cultures, migration, human rights, and democracy.
From 2000 to 2017, I have been working with recycled paper
2018- 2026, I have been interested in Art Bauhaus, discursive geometric abstraction, constructivism, and textile art.
2022 -2026 I became interested in abstract photography. I see photographs as visual elements in my constructions and reconstructions, and I researched the process of transformation in abstractions with them.
I love working with diverse materials, like paper, corrugated cardboard, and stainless steel mesh.
Our perception of the world depends on our points of view. The focus of my artworks lies on the many perspectives that exist in our society in transition and climate change.
Western ( Emmanuel Levinas) and non-Western (Ubuntu )concepts are important in my art because we need to understand each other to feel connected again. Together, we can face the important issues we stand for. They can only be solved on a global level.
My theme, 'Hen Panta', is about the underlying coherence between everything and everyone, about human rights, and making connections
What connects more than the line, not only as a basic element in artworks, but also when people shake hands and communicate by social media or other things that are possible today?
Art is the land of imagination. I build up my artworks with small geometric elements, which represent societies in transition. My interests lie in the changes taking place in the world, especially those related to the evaluation of our views, which determine our perception. The continuous process of change in relation to seeing from different perspectives fascinates me. But how to translate this visually? 'What will happen if I show my objects like in a court session where witnesses and events come into a different light?" I let my objects interact in different ways, and was surprised by the discoveries I want to share with you.
